Summer of '08 was fucking amazing. I wish it didn't have to end next Monday!

I cannot believe I start school next Monday. I have mixed feelings about it. I'm happy yet I'm not. I'm excited to get back and learn new material in classes and see a couple old friends. I'm not happy and extremely frustrated about having two fucking math classes. Algebra 1 and Intro to Geo. I believe I have one of each everyday. I hate that, but then I guess it's better than having both on the same day because say if a test comes up for both on the same Friday, I'd have to study double and that would suck..soo things could be worse. I just liked having a certain four classes everyother day, that way I'd only have math once when I was just in Algebra 1 my freshman year. Hopefully I pass both classes this year with the help of a tutor somehow one day a week and summer school next summer..ah.
My friends and I reviewed our schedules and there's a possibility that Jenna and I might have two classes together if we get the same teachers. I'm keeping my fingers crossed. Jourdan and I have no classes together, so I'm hoping we'll at least have one lunch together.
To keep me sane this school year, I'm going to try and keep thinking forward each day and just get shit done.

It's finally complete!! I worked all day on the final touches. It turned out absolutely spectacular! I'm really impressed and proud of myself.. I'll try and get some good photos of it this week. :-)

In the morning, my mom and I went heavy grocery shopping at Walmart.
Came home. Rested. Ate lots of lunch. Then hungout with Jenna for a bit!

She gave me an absolutely amazing gift. I shouldn't even have to tell you who the beautiful miss on the picture is but I will anyway- Marilyn Monroe! Hello...

After hanging out in my house, we left to chill outside and make silly videos at Brooke's park in her neighborhood. One was a shoutout to our bffl, Jourdan Ibe and the other was us humming a song that the Party Hotline plays while you're waiting for someone to pick-up. Fun day!

Went down to the Strip today. Not with my friends, not by myself-- normally it's one of the two, but with my Mom! :-) I even got her to take the buses with me to get down there from our house. I'll speed up this story or writing, whatever you'd like to call it a bit! So, we get down to Las Vegas Blvd., hungry and we enter the casino to get a bite to eat. As we were walking through the casino, we pass several gift shops on carts. One in particular caught my attention, though... Why? Hmm, well because it was filled with Marilyn Monroe collectables!
Of course being the huge Marilyn fan that I am, we had to stop. I checked out every item. I left with a Marilyn Monroe fake drivers license and a mousepad with her face in the center. I have not decided if I'm going to actually use it as a mousepad or hang it up in my room with the others as a picture.
After we ate, we headed to Planet Hollywood to browse shops and whatnot. Went to Urban- not much new stuff except for this tank top that at the top had the color red dripping down fading to white that I thought about buying since it was on sale, but decided not to. We then left PH and proceeded to the Deuce double-decker bus to take us back out of the Strip.

^That's what it looks like. It's such a fun bus to ride and I was especailly happy that my mom finally rode it! She thought it was pretty cool.
Oh, and at one of our bus stops on the way down to the Strip, my mom took a couple polaroids of me that I'm quite fond of..

Last weekend or the weekend before Jenna had another sleepover at her cool, cute apartment. Myself, Jourdan, and Phobe went. Phobe was one of her friends she knew from cheer that Id never met before. Normally, Im nervous when meeting new people so I was a bit jld;dksa;kahh before meeting Phobe. Once everyone arrived at Jennas, I realized that me freaking out prior to meeting her new friend was pointless because she was extremely awesome and down to earth just like Jenna. I guess she was right when she said "If you like Jenna, youll like me." We all had loads of fun which is expected if youre having a sleepover at Jennas because when you first walk in her room, the first thought that pops to mind is "...strap-on." Hahaaah, oh God, Im kidding Jenna!<3
Lets just say we all fell asleep around 5:00 or 6:00 a.m. and the next morning ended with us all stuffing our faces with breadsticks at Fazolis.

 

It's been about a month since I've updated my Buzznet...I don't know why, sometimes I just never know what to post about or feel like updating, but once again, I will try and keep this somewhat updated.

Earlier this month for a summer vacation, my mom and I drove to Los Angeles for two days. We stayed in a motel on Sunset. After a long drive listening to Katy Perry on repeat, we arrived around noon and hit up lots of nice stores on Melrose. Two in particular that I fell in love with were Wasteland and Joyrich! Both had some amazing threads..

At Wasteland, I came across this deep gray v-neck with Marilyn Monroe's head all over it. Being the huge Monroe fan that I am, I definitely snatched that shirt!

Shortly after, we entered a little shop with walls full of sunglasses, bugs and Kanye's. I picked up a black rimmed square-like pair with white on the top. It's kind of hard to picture, but I'll have a picture with them soon haah. My mom bought a zebra print pair.
Then I walked into Joyrich and fell in love with lots of their brands of clothing. Great variety! I was shocked to come across a couple shirts by Alumni Clothing which I love!!! One of them being gray with the logo all over it and the other one was the white & black I'M SO NYC t-shirt..fell in love with that one and bought it.
Checking out, they even put the shirt in a sickass bag! Check it..

and threw in a few stickers as well..

Soon after, we checked into the motel.

The room was upstairs and decent for one night. My only complaint was the carpet..sticky. In some parts, it felt moist, like the soap from cleaning it hadn't dried yet. Always keep your shoes or socks on in motels!
After dropping our things off at the motel on Sunset, we went to a store that I'd been wanting to check out for a long time.
POP KILLER!

Everything in that store is great. Especially the collection of vintage band t-shirts...lots of goodies! I picked up the purple 'Just Say Fuck Yeah.' shirt, a white shirt with a small map of where the store is located and their logo, and a little pin that says 'I ♥ L.A." :-)
Evening was approaching, so we headed to the beach. I don't think there's a more better place to feel so calm at but the beach. I could just stare out at the water forever it seems, and just fall asleep. At least for me that is! I always love seeing the big seagulls. They're so adorable and one of my favorite birds.

Before we left the beach, my mom took an amazing polaroid of me! I love how it turned out.

The sun was beginning to set, so we went to eat at this restaurant right on the beach. We ate outside. The food was delicious.

The next (last day) we left the motel and stopped by Pinkberry for a tasty delight! I took a sample of the original Pinkberry yogurt, but the original smoothie was what I ended up getting. It was wow...soo good. Puts Tropical Smoothie in the dirt.

Overall the trip was fabulous. Spending time with my rad mom that I love very much was great. Of course, I'd wish it had lasted longer but I made the best out of the time we were there and enjoyed it!

Ohh, it's been a while! Been missing in action. Lately, I haven't been active on here but I'm back now! The past week has been loads of fun.

I believe it was last week when I hungout with Jourdan. We went downtown and had some shoots of both him and myself while trying not to melt in the 105 degree heat! Yikes... It was nice to finally hang with him over the summer since I hadn't been able to see him in person since the last day of school in the beginning of June.

First location we shot at were the train tracks, my favorite place.

There are more of Jourdan on the train tracks that I'll post up later in his own gallery that I need to create of all the photos that I've shot of him. You can always check out my Flickr for all photos.

After we finished shooting at the train tracks, hungry, we stopped at Carls Jr. for some lunch then I switched outfits. Our next location was an older type grocery store- Food4Less. We wanted to do a 'paparazzi' theme shoot of myself with my sunglasses on pushing a shopping cart in the parking lot and talking on my cell phone at times. Here are some photos of how that came out:

I'm very thrilled with how those came out! More will be posted in Photos very soon. So, basically we had a very fun and eventful day! Jourdan then spent two nights at my house which was lots of fun as well. Pulled an all nighter the first night, cranked on the party hotline, ate a lot, and just had good times.

4th of July was nice. I watched fireworks go off at a nearby casino, Red Rock and got somewhat decent shots of them. I'll be posting a new journal specifically for my 4th so this one isn't any longer.

PS: I apoligize for not getting back to notes, basically, at all lately! I guess you can say I was taking a little break, but today I will spend some time trying to get back to everyone.

No where does it say you have to buy a certain amount of merch to...well, you'll see.


Brooke and I left around 11 on our first bus, making good time we quickly catch the second bus, and finally we reach the third and last stop to the Fashion Show Mall.
Now, me and Brooke do enjoy riding busesm but hate, hate, hate when they run extremely late on schedule.


It was reaching the 100 degree mark at this bus stop and we had already downed our water bottles.. Since this bus seemed like it would never come, we said "Fuck it" and walked in the tire shop right by the bus stop. No one was behind the counter, so Brooke turned on the fan inside the store and we put 75 cents together and bought a soda from the machine.
(would have bought water, but it was simply just a soda machine)

40 minutes had already passed, and the bus should have been there in 20. The time was now 2:00 PM, and Perez' signing had already begun so we decided that by 2:10 if the bus hadn't arrived, we would start walking. Luckily, the bus arrived once we started to walk out the door. The bus ride wasn't too slow so we were having positive thoughts on making it to his signing within the hour. Finally, we arrived at the mall and quickly went upstairs to Hot Topic.
We were so stoked!
Once we got there, we were told to go in a certain line to get your wristbands and be allowd entry to the store, so we did. Waiting in the line for about ten minutes, a Hot Topic worker came over and told Brooke, me and the people in front of notifying us that in order to get a wirstband you have to buy $20.00 worth of Perez' merch.


Well, thanks for the info on that! Each of us only brought twenty dollars, exact. I asked again, just to clarify and be sure of what he said that you really have to buy that much of his merch just for the wristband to be allowd to see/get photos/chat with Perez, and he replied "Yes.

If it had been $10.
00 of merch that you had to buy or maybe even $15.00, then yeah, maybe we would have agreed, but shit even if we had boughten some twenty bucks worth of merch then with tax, it probably would have bumped up the price to 21 or 22- then what would we have done? We didn't have extra ones or fives on us.

Shortly after the Hot Topic employee gave us that news, we left in anger. I mean, we were PISSED. I had my polaroid and digital camera with me and even a marker for him to sign his name on the polaroid and sign Brooke's shirt..that's all we came down there for.
We were tired and stressed into thinking we wouldn't make it in time, but we did...for nothing. So we just went to the Food Court and got a bite to eat, then left.

I'm meeting infamous celeb blogger Perez Hilton later on today at the Fashion Show mall here in Las Vegas! He will be at Hot Topic for his clothing line launch. This will be his second signing. I'm pretty stoked on this, and yes, I will admit to reading his Website often! Hhaha.

My friend Brooke will be coming with to meet him as well. I'm thinking of picking up my friend Jenna a gift, most likely something of Perez' clothing line since she's a fan as well and won't be able to come with us tomorrow since she left for Florida.

Anyway, I'll post some photos from the meet & greet later on. :)

Hidden under my tired face though, is a huge smile for tomorrow...why? Because its the last day of school, then I'm on summer break! I am so stoked for summer. I have a strong gut feeling that this will be one of the best summers I have. I hungout with another new friend today, Jenna. She's so much fun and we both have an obsession with Marilyn Monroe. Each of us have two big pictures of her in our rooms. How ironic, right?

My exams have been going pretty good. I totally bombed math, but that was expected. Algebra will never process in my mind..haha. The others I completed fairly well and tomorrow I take my english and social studies exams. I'm looking up on those because they've always been a great subject for me.

What's your favorite soda or drink to enjoy on a hot summer day?

For the first time in MONTHS, it finally rained in Las vegas today and boy, was it beautiful! Of course, had to start while I was in school but I still managed to have fun during it because it started while I was having lunch outside. Sprinkles were first, clearly so I didn't think anything of it being a Nevadan I stayed where I was in the sprinkles, then suddenly they started increasing and turned into larger drops and we even saw a few small pieces of hail here and there. It was a nice thunder show of loud rain.
So soothing...oh, and the weatherman tonight forecasted that it there's a 40% chance of more rain for this holiday weekend- stoked!!

On another note, there is seriously only a week of school left for me. It's unbelievable how fast my freshman year went by. I think it's mostly because I actually enjoyed this year and made new friends like I was told I would...and had fun with it. Oh yeah, and the class schedule, a-days and b-days works perfectly and not to mention all my teachers were great as well.
I'm looking forward to summer now though, should be a very nice break.

My entire weekend was spent doing homework. Not even joking. I was somewhat behind in a couple classes, but the other assignments were just asigned Friday and were stretched out work..

I just finally finished the last bit of it all about two hours ago. Despite my eye pains I've been having this whole weekend due to damn allergies, I'm very glad that I finally completed it all. On a good note,  I took a nap earlier today so my eyes aren't straining so much anymore or hurting. I have been rubbing them senceless!

So now...I'm going back to bed.

Fuck yeah, dude. Went up to the vending machine during lunch today to buy some Goldfish as usual. (I eat them during my last class after lunch.) And the damn machine got them stuck in the wire thing, so I punch it a couple times and it fell out and so did the pack behind it!!! I was so happy. Haha, I love Goldfish. Two for the price of 85 cents...sick.
